Stop Me, Captain
Stop Me, Captain was the first piece in many years in which I worked larger than usual. This piece is done on 18x24in (45.7x61cm), pencil on paper. For a few years leading up to this I had been working on 8.5x11in copy paper, rarely filling up the entire space. The paper I used isn't the best quality, and took quite a beating while I worked on it. There are quite a few stains and wrinkles. I am usually very careful, almost to the point of obsessive, in keeping the paper in the best shape possible. I suppose I just didn't care, although it did help me to loosen up. I figured it was already ruined, so there was nothing I could do to make it worse, so I should just have "fun" with it… as much fun as this looks haha!
